Bio
A fresh face in the Melbourne arts community, American painter Jennifer Whitten followed romance 10,000 miles across the planet. In spite of her artistic inclinations, Jennifer attended a top ten school, Washington University in St. Louis, in pursuit of a medical degree, but found herself longing for a creative outlet. Switching courses, Jennifer graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting in 2008 and received the Eda L. and Clarence C. Cushing Prize in Painting. An admirer and believer in the approach of the Old Masters, Jennifer is passionate about preserving traditional technique in painting. She also draws inspiration from film and theatre.
