At Blanc Canvas, Term 1 meant thousands of art lessons, hundreds of happy students, a load of fun, and one common goal: To be the best artist you can, and have a load of fun doing it!!

January Holiday Program

1 week and counting… Starting on January 14th and running for two weeks, our holiday program is run by trained artists in our purpose-built, air conditioned studio! We are currently taking bookings for the January holiday program, so check out the timetable! Hope to see you there!

Vivid Waters Exhibition

Two of our teachers, Judy Waters and Vivi Palegeorge have a joint exhibition! At the Blue Dog Gallery in Beaumaris, the exhibition opens this Saturday at 2pm, and will be opened by local artist Craig Penny! Both Judy and Vivi draw a lot of inspiration from similar sources, including the bay, the ocean, and Australian natural scenes more generally, but take their inspiration in different directions.

Blanc Canvas and Hampton Art Supplies are putting on a series of free (unless otherwise indicated) demonstrations on the third Sunday of every month.

These are designed to be relaxed and informative, and highly valuable. And sometimes, there will even be a little prize or freebie bag from the product sponsors!

New website!

Yeah, it's a big deal. We've moved the website to a new platform. What does that mean? A few things, but mainly it should make us easier to find on the web, and it should allow us to do way more cool stuff for our current students, including and online art competition with voting!

New Drawing Short Course!

We are happy to be introducing a new teacher for 2012, Andrew Treloar! Andrew will be teaching a 5-week drawing course, commencing Thursday March 1 @ 10am. Cost is $125 plus materials.
